Materials Required - No. 20 thread makes a crab measuring 5" x 4 ½", two shuttles, two 4mm beads for eyes. 

Skills needed – knowledge of split ring and the continuous thread join (shown and explained below).

Making the CTJ - continuous thread join

Using a hook, take Sh1 thread under and up through the last very small picot of side 1.  Push Sh2 through the loop and gently tighten.

Continue through all the picots on this side of the SR.

 

Tip:  The bottom three legs on each side can be adjusted to curve after the continuous thread join by gently pulling the thread which runs through the vsp's.
