Worked in a number 20 thread the lobster measures 3 1/2" across the width of the claws by 4" from top to bottom!

Starting at base of lobster using Wsh1 - 2 beads on Wsh1

Head

Ch:       2 +(^ SR27) ^ 4 +(^ SR26) ^ 4 +(^SR25)

SR44:   6 / 3 – 3  Change to Wsh2

Ch:       4

R45:     3 +(SR44) 3 +(^ SR26) 3 – 3

Ch:       ^ 4

R46:     3 +(R45) 3 +(SR27) 6  Change Wsh1

Ch:       6 B Vlp (18” – the bead lies on the core thread directly below the Vlp) 2

R47:     6 +(^ base R45) 6

Ch:       2 B Vlp (18” – the bead lies on the core thread directly below the Vlp) 6 +(^ base R44) 6  T & C

Take one of the Vlp’s and cut it so that the end nearest to the claw is approximately 9” long.  Hold this shorter part in the fingers (or tie to a shuttle) and make a chain of 40ds.  Tie knots and cut

Second Claw

Holding the lobster upside down join both shuttle threads to SR24 and work as first claw until R43

Next R:            2 +(space btwn SR24 & SR25) 2

Ch:       2 +(^SR25) T & C
