Materials used:- No. 20 in white, red, black and pink.  Size of finished Santa 6”

Face - three shuttles. Wsh 1 (pink), Wsh 2 red.  Further shuttle with pink, 2 black beads

 

Eye 1 (left) Wsh 1 - see fig. 1

R     3 vsp 3 vsp 3 vsp 3  add bead to core thread (Wsh) by pulling it down under the 2nd vsp, adding bead to this loop and then passing the Wsh through this loop.  Carefully pull ring to close (see fig. 1a) and leave ⅛” gap

Eye 2  (right) Wsh 1

R          3 vsp 3 vsp 3 vsp 3 – add bead as first eye, pulling core thread down through 2nd vsp.  Change to Wsh 2

 

Nose

R     5 vsp 5.  Join in third shuttle with pink to replace Wsh 2.  Change to Wsh 1 and continue under right eye with

Ch   5 + (vsp on right eye) 5 + (next vsp on same eye) vsp 2 – 3 + (next vsp on same eye) 5 + (⅛” between eyes) 5 + (vsp at top of left eye) 3 – 2 + (vsp as side of eye) vsp 5 (next vsp) 5 + to base of nose T & C.  See fig. 2

 

Ears, Chin and Mouth - 2 shuttles

Wsh 1 (white) Wsh 2 (white).  Start with Wsh 1
