The snowman is made in three parts which are joined as work progresses.  The scarf, walking stick and flowers are added as required.  Knowledge of split rings is needed.

 

Materials Required

No. 20 thread in black, white and colours of choice, two shuttles, two black beads for the eyes and two for buttons.  One orange bead (mouth).

Walking Stick - two shuttles, black thread

Repeat from * 3 times then change to Wsh2

Ch:       12 T & C.  Pull chain and last SR through hand.

 

Scarf - two shuttles and using two colours - join to p at base of R3 on face

*SR1:   6 / 6  SLT

Repeat from * 5 times  T & C leaving ends to fray

Join to p at base of R5 on face

SR1:     6 / 6  SLT

SR2:     6 / 6

Take Wsh1 in front of first half of scarf and Wsh2 behind tying a knot to make the threads of this half lie btwn SR2 & SR3 of first half of scarf.

Repeat SR2 3 times  T & C leaving ends to fray

 

Flowers for Hat

These are simply rings of 1 – 1 – 1 – 1 – 1 – 1 – 1 – 1 leaving ends to tie onto hat at beginning and end.
